When you are ill, hopefully you receive all the medical exams, the treatment and medication needed on the moment. But don’t you feel frustrated sometimes to not understanding why you have this health problem? where does it come from? Especially when the health issue is disappearing and then is coming back?
That’s why when I discovered Ayurveda, I was thrilled by the investigation method. Treating symptoms is important for the person on the moment and understanding the cause, the source, is essential to prevent the problem from returning and even getting worse!
In Ayurveda, the cause is always an imbalance of one of the 3 Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and the question is: why this imbalance? What has disturbed the natural balance in the body? Is it due to environment or to food or to activities or to the mind? There could be many factors and that’s why during a consultation, the practitioner is asking a lot of question. Then, she/he will explain where the imbalance can come from (from an Ayurvedic point of view) and will suggest modification accordingly.
It seems so logical, doesn’t it?
