Sophrology is very useful for STRESS management, self-confidence, improving sleep, adapting to CHANGE, achieving goals
Sophrology was created in 1960 by a neuropsychiatrist, Alfonso Caycedo (Franco-Spanish) to develop a gentle and less invasive method than the drugs used in psychiatry at the time. Progressively this method was adapted to athletes, in Hospital, to musicians and everybody who needs to manage stress.

This method, which means “the science of consciousness in Harmony”, is a crossroad between western techniques (Hypnosis, Schultz relaxation, Coue method) and Eastern techniques (Meditation, Yoga, Zen) proposing practical exercises, accessible to all, to re-oxygenate the body, become aware of the signals of the body. The state of physical relaxation is used to induce mental relaxation. This state then allows access to the unconscious, to intuitions, to better perceive and manage emotions, to clarify ideas.

Sophrology exercises :      Dynamic Relaxation   +    Breathing    +    Visualisations

A relaxed body in an alert mind

  • Consciously relax
  • A more alert mind
  • Channel your emotions (fear, anger, sadness, frustration) and let JOY arise
  • Better know your limits (stress or fatigue)
  • Open for 5 senses
  • More conscious of your body

Course of a session

  1. Exchanges on your present state and your request
  2. Guided sophrology exercises adapted to your request (sitting, lying or standing up)
  3. Exchange on your experience and feelings during the session
  4. Advice and recommendations for exercises to do independently to make them your own

Why chose Sophrology?

  • Sleep disorder
  • Stress Management
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Pain
  • Preparation for a exam
  • Preparation for Childbirth
  • Menopause disorder
  • Premenstrual syndrome
  • Endometriosis

For me, Sophrology is the first nice step towards Meditation, leading to more self-consciousness.

Because it’s not so easy to start practicing meditation

Sophrology will in no way replace medical consultations
